The Lone Star Classic will be held at Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas.  Watch this site and Twitter for updates.

The Lone Star Classic employs a Preliminary/Final format for the Standstill 1-Red, Standstill 1-Silver and Marching Divisions.  Lone Star Classic reserves the right to change the format to a “finals only” format depending on the number of drumlines registered and/or inclement weather. Please see the rules for possible additional information.

I registered for the Lone Star Classic, but did not receive a confirmation email. What happened?

Your service provider or school has blocked our email as “spam”. Please email chair@lonestarclassic-dlc.com and request a resend of your confirmation email to an unblocked email address. Please provide your school or group’s name along with that new email address for the resend.

When will the schedules be released?

Schedules will be released approximately 2 weeks before the Lone Star Classic. The contest is a day-long event starting at approximately 8am. We moved to a single performance format in 2017. Our performance order will be by division: Standstill Division II (Red, Silver), Standstill Division I (Red, Silver) and Marching. There will be a single award presentation at the conclusion of the performances.

What is Standstill Division I versus Standstill Division II?

Standstill II was created to offer developmental drumlines a contest experience and to be adjudicated against peer-level drumlines. We encourage advanced, contest-experienced and elite standstill drum lines to compete in Standstill Division I.

Where can my drumline practice and warm-up?

We have practice bays allotted for your drumline practice. Your group will have approximately 120 minutes to practice before your scheduled pre-final performance. All groups will have the same allotted time for warm-up practices.

Can we arrive early and stay later than our scheduled times?

Yes, however, the trucks will have to move to a transit parking and then move back to the practice bay at the scheduled time. For safety reasons, the transit parking is for loading only.
